After the wild success of their last Bali retreats, Erin Elizabeth Photography and Anja McDonald Photography are headed to the amazingly popular cruise destination on the tropical island of Roatan, Honduras in 2025 for five glorious days of maternity, family and branding photography, bonding, relaxation and FUN. This retreat will be absolutely packed with inspiration and exploration.

Roatan is easily accessible from North America, with direct flights from most major southern hubs as well as several in Canada.

We are focusing on the beach and jungle locations that Roatan has to offer, but also doing editorial vibe shoot, including resort style locations and incredible white sandy beaches and stunning jungles. Learn how to choose your locations, work with any lighting conditions, photograph maternity and families, and create stunning galleries that your clients will treasure for a lifetime. We will also be diving into branding photography, both how to build a business and you will also be shooting a branding session.

We will also focus heavily on pricing, marketing, editing workflow, and helping you to create a plan that will work for YOU and your business. This will be a small group retreat (maximum 9 attendees) so there will be plenty of personalised attention for each individual attendee.

As something new we are offering each attendees a 1:1 mentoring session to iron out any difficulties you may have in your business.

There is so much money to be made in the portrait photography industry and we want to help you develop a long and successful career in this beautiful industry.

While we will be sharing our wealth of information, we also know that sometimes part of growth includes rest, relaxation and refocusing yourself and your business priorities. To assist with this, there will be plenty of time for relaxing, exploring, visiting the wildlife and even scuba diving, and of course, time to reflect.

And most importantly, we want to help you build more connections within the industry! Photography can be a very lonely path, so we want to use this opportunity to deep dive into conversations and topics you typically wouldn’t have time for in other workshops. Both Erin and Anja have a very diverse background and expertise, which we hope will help you develop and explore your own creativity and will inspire you to grow and reignite your passion for photography.

As with all of our retreats, your accommodation and all food and drinks in the houses, as well as transportation to and from the airport and to all photo shoots and activities is completely covered. The only thing you need to do is book your flights and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

For this retreat, we have rented TWO absolutely amazing villas right on the waters of Orchid Beach - a stunning location between the two Roatan hotspots - West Bay Beach and West End shopping district. The second largest coral reef in the world is located 100 meters off shore and the west-facing enormous balcony offers sunsets too stunning to even describe.

This retreat will be filled with not only magical photo shoots, and a mountain of editing, branding, and business information, but also tons of EPIC activities at your fingertips! There is snorkelling, diving, cocktails on the beach (and at our own private pool!), cuddling with sloths, visiting an iguana farm, meeting the macaws and monkeys, fantastic shopping, and so much more! We will be staying in two side by side villas and the bed configuration will reflect the ticket price. All rooms have private bathrooms.

Deposit of $650 is required to secure your seat and the remainder will be invoiced in 4 instalments.

Cancellation: Please note that the $650 deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation is made after full payment has been submitted, you may transfer to another date (pending availability). You may fill your spot with another attendee depending approval from Anja and Erin.

Given the shared living arrangements, the retreat is only available to women.

Each space is for one attendee and not a group.
